7 Pool Designs That Will Make You Want to Renovate Immediately

Pools Beautiful Pools

It’s never hard to admire beautiful pools!  Whether you’re looking to renovate your current pool, create a new outdoor oasis these pool designs will take your breath away.  We’ve gathered a full spectrum of Vero Beach pools, different styles, and landscapes that will have you wishing you had your bathing suit on and could jump right in.

This outdoor living room is probably my favorite of all the pools we are featuring – I may just be a teeny, tiny bit bias because it’s from my own portfolio and you can see the entire home on my website Jill Shevlin Design.  Can we talk about the view?  I may not be a golfer, but I don’t mind staring out at a beautifully landscaped course.  Fun to watch the golfers as they pass by too.  With comfy, lounge-able weather-resistant outdoor seating, a place for books and drinks, and a stunning view, it’s safe to say you’ll never want to leave this slice of paradise.

This Orchid Island Oceanfront home has an impressive pool which separates the main house from the guest house.   The cast stone coping and symmetric shape was a decision we made to make the area softer and more inviting.  The idea was to create fountain like look – I think we achieved that what about you?    The pool is tucked behind the main house the homes courtyard oasis and is always the perfect tempeture to enjoy what ever time of year.     This is another project from Jill Shevlin Design’s portfolio and was built by The Hill Group.   Some luck person could purchase this home as it is currently for sale you can see the listing on Premiere Estate Properties Web Site Here

Rectangular Pool in a Mediterranean Style Home

There’s no shortage of Mediterranean-inspired homes in the Vero Beach area, and I love it when a design is cohesive. Here, the pool shape mimics the rectangular windows and geometric feel of the home. The lines are crisp and clean, and the design effect looks seamless. Trimmed foliage keeps up the minimal feel.  Designed by Tom Hoos  photo by Aric Attas

This scene is a perfect example of the pool blending in with the landscape. Here, the tropical landscaping and “oasis” feel are the perfect match to the more natural, free-flowing shape of the pool. Imagine instead that the pool from the Mediterranean house above was in this space. Wouldn’t it look sort of stiff and out of place? These are all points to keep in mind when you’re considering your pool design. Photo by Aric Attas

Never underestimate a beautiful courtyard. I love the delicate balance this setting achieves: it’s simple but elegant, cheerful but sophisticated, regal but relaxing. The colonnade-lined pool isn’t ostentatious but serves as a peaceful connector between the main house and guest house.  Photo by Aric Attas

I know you only have a glimpse of this pool but I couldn’t resist sharing this coastal-themed room. Pale neutrals and a bamboo-inspired support pole beautifully blend the indoors and outdoors into a setting of serenity. It’s the perfect entrée to a glorious afternoon poolside. If the pool wasn’t in plain sight, I imagine this bedroom would be difficult to leave.

Who can resist adding a pool when there’s an adorable pooch enjoying it, too. The design of this courtyard pool echoes that of the home (see arches and straight edges), which I mentioned before is crucial to having a cohesive look and feel. There’s also a cascading water feature that’s a little tough to see in this photo but creates a heavenly ambiance. That’s one lucky pup.

I’ve talked about blending your pool design with your home’s architecture, but this one takes it a step further: blending it with the surroundings.  Another beautiful home renovaton by Jill Shevlin Design that has an infinity edge pool that  looks as if it drops straight into the lagoon! It not only expands the visual size of the homeowners’ backyard, but the seamless transition is breathtakingly beautiful. Simply genius.  This home renovation was featured in Luxe Magazine in November 2017.  To see the before and after tranformation of this home check it out here.
